The UFO-X is a groundbreaking tool that can be used in many different situations. The UFO-X primarily serves as a camera platform with the capability of mounting and flying Movie Bird camera cranes (35 ft / 45 ft). It can not only be used for camera, but also for lighting work, special visual effects, and stunt activities. The UFO-X is a multitasking platform that is enhancing the film industry. It is the only platform of its type that can run on silent operation that allows for sound to still be captured. The UFO-X allows for efficiency during filming and saves production dollars for the project.

Camera Platform

The UFO-X is a system that allows for entirely new types of shots to be created. The camera platform allows for quick and smooth movements. The UFO-X saves time and money because of its ability to reset efficiently after each setup. It is unlike any other camera platform in the world. The UFO-X’s main arm can extend out to 70 ft not including the length of the articulating powered jib. The universal mount on the end of the jib can fly 35 ft / 45 ft Movie Bird camera cranes giving a total reach of over 100 ft measuring from the back of the boom to the tip of the extended Movie Bird. The UFO-X has the only powered articulating jib in existence with a range of downward motion of 70 degrees. The Camera Head on the end of the jib gives a large range of motion and control of any mounted camera crane. The pan on the Camera Head gives a rotation of 360 degrees. The tilt on the Camera Head gives a range of 120 degrees depending on angulation. There is an automatic camera leveling system in the pitch of the Camera Head with a range of 120 degrees. The UFO-X also has a yaw leveling feature that can level the entire Camera Head and Movie Bird 20 degrees +/-. The UFO-X is easily transportable and has done projects around the country and overseas. The length of the UFO-X from the back outrigger legs to the front outrigger legs is 18 ft 6 inches. The height of the UFO-X is 11 ft 3 inches. For transportation specifications, from the back of the outrigger box to the end of the boom with the jib in a stored position measures at an overall length of 35 ft.

The UFO-X is a unique machine that can perform a large range of motion in a safe manner. The UFO-X can operate its main boom at an extension of 55 ft in a range of motion of 360 degrees at a height of 0 degrees. Over the front of the UFO-X, the boom can be extended at its full 70 ft extension at a height of 15 degrees. NOTE: the jib works entirely independent of the main boom.
